RISE
Climate & Wine Symposium
The climate crisis is no longer imminent. It is here. Coming together as sustainable winegrowing leaders is no longer optional, it is imperative.
Growers and vintners must play an increasingly active role in building social equity, conserving natural resources, reducing and drawing down GHG emissions and creating more resilient vineyards, businesses and communities.
Wines capture global attention, meaning our leadership can be an outsized force for change. This is a changemaking convening to enable the wine industry to leverage its powerful platform and set a standard for sustainability and climate action that galvanizes the global wine community.
To establish the first cross-organizational series of events, paired with sustained support and mentorship, that will not only inspire and educate, but facilitate and accelerate regional critical mass action.
This is a changemaking convening to enable the wine industry to leverage its powerful leadership platform and set a standard for sustainability and climate action that galvanizes the global wine industry.
This series of events is designed to accelerate meaningful sustainability and climate action transformation across the entire industry and culture of wine. The events are organized around the Six Pillars of Sustainable Winegrowing Leadership:
Wines capture global attention, meaning our leadership can be an outsized force for change.
Collectively, unified under a common goal, we can harness our opportunities and influence to serve as a force to transform the industry.

‘What if things get better?’
We highly recommend you take a moment to read this beautiful piece featuring RISE Speaker @mimicasteel.
“As the predictions of climate scientists become reality, imagining a better future can feel impossible. But hope might be right beneath our feet… Mimi Casteel shows us what’s possible with regenerative agriculture.”
“Mimi’s work fills me with hope that healthy soil can create local cooling effects that bring the temperature down dramatically, remove carbon from the atmosphere, feed more people with nutrient-rich food grown on fewer acres—and give us an enriched base from which to imagine.”
