Do you want to be a part of the climate action solution, build resilience, and keep your Napa Green recognition in the vineyard?
Β
  • The new, leading Napa Green Vineyard certification program officiallyΒ REPLACESΒ the Napa Green Land program as ofΒ DECEMBER 31, 2021.
  • All growers who want to keep their Napa Green recognition in the vineyard will need toΒ ENROLLΒ by Dec. 31 and will haveΒ ONE-YEAR TO TRANSITION.
  • The Napa Green team (BEN MACKIE, BEN@NAPAGREEN.ORG) will walk you through the steps for certification, and can provideΒ ON-THE-GROUND IMPLEMENTATION SUPPORTΒ as needed.
  • Napa Green Vineyard certification hasΒ SIX CORE ELEMENTS: I. Social Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; II. Carbon Farming and Regenerative Agriculture; III. Water Efficiency; IV. Tree/Forest Preservation; V. Prohibited & Restricted Pesticides; VI. Conservation/Low-Smoke Burning & Burn Alternatives.
  • To access the standards in our Napa Green Vineyard portal you canΒ ENROLL HERE. There is no cost or obligation if you enroll.
  • All things grow and evolve. Our mission is to help our members continuously takeΒ SUSTAINBILITY LEADERSHIPΒ to the next level.

We are facing a climate crisis, and that crisis is no longer imminent, it is here. It is no longer somewhere else or someone else’s problem, it is ours. Fires, drought, increasing numbers of high heat days have all been impacting grape and wine quality.

Napa growers and farmers can play an active role in building social equity, conserving natural resources, drawing down greenhouse gas emissions and creating a resilient vineyard ecosystem. Agriculture and viticulture are in fact among few sectors that have a ready and near-term opportunity to become not just carbon neutral but climate positive.

Coming together as a sustainable winegrowing region is no longer optional, it is imperative. Alone, our capacity to resolve worldwide industry issues is relatively limited. Collectively, unified under a common goal, we can harness our political influence and serve as a force to transform the industry.
