Napa Green
Napa Valley, CA — While Napa Valley wineries are reopening their doors to visitors, with carefully developed protocols to ensure everyone’s health and safety, Napa Green is launching its premier Napa Green Tasting Passport. The Napa Green Passport provides special offers and benefits at 16 Napa Green Certified sustainable wineries. With more than $500 in value and benefits the Passport pays for itself in just 3 to 4 winery visits.
“Now more than ever many people want travel experiences that are both enjoyable and meaningful,” says Anna Brittain, Executive Director of Napa Green. “Our Napa Green wineries offer exceptional wines and experiences, made even better by their commitment to sustainability. With this Passport, guests can savor the wines, take in the views, stand among the grapevines, and know they are supporting businesses that are doing well by doing good.”
Here is a sampling of just a few of the experiences on offer: At Tres Sabores, guests dip into one of the Valley’s smallest wine caves, likely accompanied by a golden retriever, meet some sheep (natural lawn mowers), then sit down to savor six wines while gazing over their Napa Green and organic estate. At Clos Du Val, the Passport elevates the seated tasting to a tour of the vineyards and cellar, with a chance to meet the winemaker or other team leaders. At Handwritten Wines you will enjoy a side-by-side comparison of six Napa Valley hillside and mountain district Cabernet Sauvignons, paired with truffle potato chips.
“Napa Green has given us a better understanding of our resource footprint. It has impacted how we run absolutely everything. I also appreciate that the program emphasizes continuous quality improvement,” shares Elizabeth Vianna, Winemaker at Chimney Rock Winery. “We are excited to be a part of the new Napa Green Tasting Passport program, providing an added opportunity to share our values with guests.”
There is something else that sets the Napa Green Tasting Passport apart. Napa Green will be investing back into the community with its “3% for the Community.” The first recipient will be UpValley Family Centers, which provides strengths-based, culturally relevant services in the community, including immigrant integration and emergency assistance. UpValley Family Centers has stood on the frontlines of the County’s COVID-19 response since Napa’s Shelter-at-Home order was issued in March, providing essential aid and other resources to low-income families impacted by the economic fallout of the crisis.
“Many travelers seek destinations that are rooted in sustainability and want to support businesses whose mission includes stewardship and social equity,” notes Linsey Gallagher, president and CEO of Visit Napa Valley. “This Passport pairs our famous Napa Valley hospitality with the opportunity to learn how Napa Valley vineyards and wineries are committed to sustainable winegrowing to protect our land and environment.”
The Napa Green Tasting Passport is $99 per person, or $84 with the purchase of two or more passports, and can be purchased on CellarPass. Plan a summer getaway and come back for the holidays – passports can be redeemed between July 1 and December 31, 2020. Napa Green has also developed a set of 14 Wine Tasting Itineraries that give a peek into the stories of these and other Napa Green wineries, further helping you refine your trip. Get your Napa Green Passport and support conscientious Napa Green wineries as they work to recover from the COVID-19 crisis.
