Throughout the month of July, the participating Napa Green wineries will share their sustainability commitments and actions with you, their guests, and give back a portion of their proceeds to support the Napa Green nonprofit.

The Napa Green nonprofit is a global leader in sustainable winegrowing, setting the highest bar for sustainability and climate action in the wine industry. Napa Green facilitates whole-system soil to bottle certification for vineyards and wineries, and provides the resources and tools to continually improve.
In 2021, Napa Green was the first sustainable winegrowing program in the world to redevelop Vineyard certification standards to focus on climate action, regenerative farming, and social equity.
Our Napa Green Vineyard and Winery members implement more than 200 climate smart practices, from building soil health and saving water, to lightening glass bottles and greening packaging, to renewable energy and electric vehicle charging.
M Vino has lightened their glass weight and eliminated capsules, greening packaging and reducing carbon footprint.
For every bottle of ‘22 Rosé sold in the month of August, they will donate $1 to Napa Green.

Etude has new water-wise landscaping irrigated with recycled water, and has expanded their solar array to cover 86% of energy use.

Domaine Carneros has a cutting-edge energy independent microgrid, combining solar, batteries, and EV charging.
Add a vegan cheese plate to your sparkling wine tasting and $5 will be donated to Napa Green.
White Rock Vineyards used a flame-cap kiln to turn pulled vines into biochar (a 500+ year carbon store), and they’re applying a compost & biochar blend before replanting to build soil health, sequester carbon, and enhance water and nutrient retention.
Their climate smart commitment includes a minimum $2,000 donation to Napa Green.
Chimney Rock has two women leading an all-Latino winemaking team, and everyone on their cellar team has worked there for 15+ years. Diversity and inclusion are part of their fabric.
They are donating a minimum of $2,000 to Napa Green, along with a portion of proceeds from a special August Vineyard Walking Tour.
Chandon has planted a pollinator row every 10th row in their vineyard to provide bee & butterfly habitat, and eliminated the use of synthetic herbicides, focusing on cultivating healthy soils and biodiversity.
For every bottle of By the Bay, Reserve Blanc de Blancs sold at the winery or online in August they are donating 20% of proceeds to Napa Green.
Pine Ridge is a member of International Wineries for Climate Action and has done a detailed emissions inventory. They have significantly reduced bottle weights to cut their carbon footprint.
In August, Pine Ridge designed a special Explorer’s Tasting and will donate a portion of the proceeds to Napa Green.
Stags’ Leap has maximized energy efficiency, and is expanding their solar array to provide 100% of their electricity use.

In partnership with Ecologi, for every order placed at B Cellars a tree is planted. They also use Green Cell Foam, a lightweight, BPI-certified compostable shipping insulation made from U.S. corn.

Beaulieu Vineyard is installing a solar array to provide the majority of their electricity use.

Grgich Hills is not only Napa Green Vineyard & Winery certified but is also among the first Regenerative Organic Certified (ROC) vineyards, deeply dedicated to soil health, biodiversity, and caring for their team.
Throughout August they are offering Flavors of Change: A Regenerative Wine Experience. It’s a food and wine pairing, featuring 3 bites featuring locally sourced, regenerative ingredients paired with specialty Grgich Hills wines, and donating a portion of proceeds to Napa Green.
Tres Sabores puts sheep, guinea hens, chickens (and golden retrievers) to work in the vineyard. They’ve installed bluebird boxes and are part of a study of the insect-eating benefits of bluebirds.
Tres Sabores will donate $1 for each of their next wine club shipments to support Napa Green.

Whitehall Lane has done significant retrofits to maximize energy efficiency, including installing LED lighting, a new refrigeration system, and an ultra-efficient water heater. This means their solar array covers more and more of their electricity use.
Throughout the month of August 15% of the sales of their Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot will be donated to Napa Green.
Raymond has a “Theater of Nature” out front that you can tour to understand their organic and Biodynamic farming practices. Glance up to see their rooftop solar array.

V. Sattui has brought sheep into their vineyards as natural lawn mowers and fertilizers (and a few guard llamas), and use electric tractors. They also have an Employee Rideshare Program that pays for the cost of commuting, and vanpools for farmworkers.
For every bottle sold of the 2019 Terra Forza Cabernet Sauvignon, V. Sattui Winery will donate a portion of the sales to Napa Green.
Clif Family won the 2020 California Green Medal award for Community Leaders. In addition to great benefits, Clif Family offers a $75 wellness stipend per month, and reimburses $100 per year in National Parks passes and athletic competitions. They are also Napa Green Vineyard, organic, and serious champions of cycling.
During August, Clif Family created a special Climate Smart Wine & Food experience with a portion of the tasting fee donated to Napa Green.

It’s hard to find a family business more dedicated to climate action, with certification ranging from Napa Green Vineyard & Winery, to organic, to TRUE Zero Waste, to B Corp. They are members of International Wineries for Climate Action, have lightened glass weight, and have a team Environmental Manager.
Spottswoode is donating 2% of gross revenue on all wines sold in the month of August to Napa Green.
Beringer has dialed in their water and energy efficiency to impressive levels. They use a mix of rainwater and recycled water to irrigate their vineyards. And they are expanding their solar array to provide more than 60% of their electricity needs.

Frank Family has opted into MCE Deep Green, meaning their winery is powered by 100% renewable wind and solar electricity. All of the materials in their wine shipments are 100% recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable.

Sterling has a brand new gondola to float up to their property. They are expanding their solar array to cover nearly all of their electricity needs, and the rest of their electricity use is MCE Deep Green, powered by 100% renewable wind and solar.

Phifer Pavitt is a boutique family winery deeply dedicated to environmental stewardship, including a “recycled” 19th century tasting barn, insulated by 100% post-consumer recycled blue jeans, and almost every aspect of the tasting room is reclaimed.
Phifer Pavitt is donating 50% of all tasting fees collected in the month of August to Napa Green.
